25 new experiences from one month of backpacking

It’s been exactly one month since we touched down in our first destination on our travelling adventure, and it’s been pretty amazing so far! We’ve visited Bangkok, Bali, the Gili islands and Australia, and have done so many things that we used to just dream of doing. So I thought I’d make a list of 25 new things I’ve experienced in just one month as a backpacker!

1. Had my passport stamped

2. Ate Asian street food

3. Stayed in a hostel – both private and dorm room

4. Stood up on a surf board

6. Clambered around rice terraces

7. Fed a monkey

8. Had a monkey climb on my head

9. Watched a Balinese play/ dance

10. Swam with wild sea turtles

11. Scuba dived

12. Watched the sun set over the ocean

13. Swam in a waterfall

14. Trekked through (part of) a jungle

15. Met an Australian Aboriginal

22. Got a ride across a lake in a wooden canoe

23. Drank fresh coconut water from a coconut

24. Got pooped on by a wild parrot while observing a tree of wild parrots

25. Visited an Asian temple
