the nibbling nomad Hermes Skiathos

The Hermes, Skiathos

The Hermes is a hotel in Kolios where I’ve stayed several times and it’s really lovely, but it’s quite pricey and a bit out of the way for me so I prefer to stay in somewhere basic in Skiathos Town now. But it’s also got a really lush restaurant that’s worth taking the trip to bus stop 13 for!

They have a big woodfire oven and make the best stone baked pizzas, as well as all the Greek classic meals. If they have it, I’d recommend the Exohiko which is a big lamb and feta pastry, but you won’t need a starter that’s for sure! Starter-wise they also have some of the best deep fried courgette/zucchini (in main pic) I’ve ever tried.

It’s also a pretty good cocktail bar, albeit a bit quiet as there aren’t really many other bars around.
